KY Camper

Kentucky Titled Camper Transfer
(Fifth Wheel, Travel Trailer or Pop-Up)

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Kentucky Title signed by both seller and buyer, *notarized.  

​

NOTE:

​

  • Sales tax is collected for camper transfers between individuals.

  • Registration expires in March.

​

*If opting to utilize notary services at the Clerk's Office, please refrain from signing the documentation prior to your arrival. 

Recreational Vehicle
Out-of-State

Out-of State Camper Transfer
*Purchased from an Individual

(Fifth Wheel, Travel Trailer or Pop-Up)

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Out-of-State Title signed by seller, notarized (if applicable).

  • The seller and buyer must sign the TC96-182 form or provide a bill of sale, signed and notarized. *Effective 07/01/2023

  • Fire Marshal Inspection: Contact Tracee Brewer at (606) 359-0538.

Title Transfer

Out-of State Camper Transfer
*Purchased from a Dealer

(Fifth Wheel, Travel Trailer or Pop-Up)

WHAT TO BRING:

​

  • Out-of-State Title or C of O signed by dealer, notarized (if applicable).

  • Fire Marshal Inspection: Contact Tracee Brewer at (606) 359-0538.

  • NEW C of O from dealer: no inspection required.

​

NOTE:

​​

  • The seller and buyer must sign the TC96-182 form or provide a bill of sale, signed and notarized. *Effective 07/01/2023

  • Registration expires in March.

  • Sales tax (6%) will be collected based on the purchase price; invoice required.

Motor Vehicle
RV Transfers

Kentucky Titled RV Transfer
*Purchased from an Individual

 

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Kentucky title signed by seller and buyer, notarized. 

  • Proof of Kentucky Insurance on the vehicle in the buyer's name. (The effective date must be within 45 days of the day you are completing the application-KRS186A.042).

  • Sales tax collection on purchase price with TC96-182, signed by seller and notarized.

  • Registration expires in March.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Out-of-State Title signed by seller, notarized (if applicable).

  • Sheriff's Inspection

  • Sales tax collection on purchase price with TC96-182, signed by seller and notarized.
